MY SHORT STORY: Had a lovely evening with my girlfriends at the Harvey Nichols ‘Lift Your Life’ beauty event last night. It’s my second time attending, though this is, I believe, the first time they’ve done it without the sponsorship of Elle. Still, it’s just as spectacular as the one last year. Free flowing wine all night, free mini makeovers from our favourite designer brands, free goodie bag at the end of the night – what more could a girl possibly want? The staff were all very friendly and no one pressured us to buy anything we didn’t want to. There were also talks and demos throughout the night from brands like Shu Eumura and Espa, as well as – bizarrely – a Zumba workshop on the second floor. I never thought I’d ever thrown my arms up and wiggled around in between designer clothes and Louboutin heels, but sure, why not?
